The children in Paddington class were very excited today as it was finally their turn to go to Forest School on the minibus. We also added a bit of festive cheer to their journey with some Christmas songs to sing along to and Miss Birch even decorated the minibus with tinsel!
We visited Hunsbury Hill Country Park which had a brilliant play area for us to explore whilst waiting for the minibus to do two trips with all of the children.
Once we we had all arrived we went on an adventure to find our new Forest School site. We had to balance along narrow high pathways, slide down muddy slopes and then walk through the roots of huge trees.
To help us learn our new boundaries in a larger woodland area we played games together such as 1,2,3….where are you?
The children really enjoyed exploring the new woodland area and couldn’t wait to start building dens and climbing trees!
We all had a fantastic time at Forest School today, and I know the children are really looking forward to exploring the woodland more at Hunsbury Hill Country Park.
