Simba class came to Forest School this morning and were ready to explore!
We found an excellent climbing tree which the children couldn’t wait to climb. It was brilliant watching them overcome their fears and challenge themselves to climb higher each time. Also I enjoyed watching them support each other, offering words of advice as to where to go next placing their hands or feet, and general encouragement or praise.
Whilst exploring some of the children found an interesting insect, and were excited to show everyone. After a closer look we decided it was a very sleepy hornet who had just woken up after a very long sleep through the winter. The children were very calm and quiet around the hornet and we moved away to leave it alone for some peace and quiet.
