Gruffalo class enjoyed the windy morning today at Forest School and made the most of the blustery weather by designing and making their own kites.
The children worked together in small groups and had to choose the right resources from a selection of items to design, make and decorate their kites. We then had time on the school field to test our kites and try out different techniques for flying them.
Can you remember how we can find out which way the wind is blowing?
How was it best to stand to fly your kite, with the wind behind or in front of you?
Which way would make your kite fly for longer, by running or standing still?
Why not have a go at making your own kite at home, I would love to see your photos! Mrs Read 🙂
